Business A delicious book signing will be held at a local bakery on Friday.
Cake Happy, 340 N.E. Fourth Ave., will host Pacific Northwest novelist Ellie Alexander at a book signing event for “On Thin Icing,” the third book in the Bakeshop Mystery series that offers readers a taste of Shakespeare, the town of Ashland, Oregon, and original handcrafted recipes for pastries and sweets.
“The books are escapism at its best, taking readers on a quest to figure out whodunit, with a dash of romance, and plenty of page-turning twists,” stated a press release. Each book in the series includes original handcrafted recipes for delectable sweets and savory pastries.
The first book in the series, “Meet Your Baker,” was released in December 2014, followed by “A Batter of Life and Death,” in June 2015. The fourth book, “Caught Bread Handed,” will be available in June 2016.
