After eight years of serving on the Camas School Board, president Mary Tipton has resigned her position.
Although she still lives in Camas, Tipton has moved out of director district 5.
“I feel honored to have worked with each one of you and couldn’t have asked to be with better people,” she said.
Tipton resigned at the Monday, Dec. 12 board meeting.
The board is seeking applicants to fill the District 5 seat. The appointee will serve until the 2017 election cycle, when voters will decide who will serve the remaining two years of Tipton’s four-year term.
