DCA cancels Holiday Sip & Shop event

At least one local event planned for Thursday night has been canceled do to inclement weather predicted to hit Southwest Washington.
Downtown Camas Association Executive Director Carrie Schulstad announced this morning that the Holiday Sip & Shop fundraiser will not be held this year.
The event will not be rescheduled in 2016, but Schulstad said it will return in December 2017.
“The weather forecast hasn’t changed and there isn’t a date that works taking in bus, volunteer, merchant and mill interpretive center schedules — lots of moving parts,” she said. “We will just have to do an extra fun one next year.”
Schulstad said she is in the process of contacting those who have already purchased tickets. Ticket holders will have the option of donating the $25 ticket price, applying it toward next year’s event, or receiving a refund.
