Hospitality training is coming to Camas and Washougal in the form of two half-day workshops led by national hospitality expert and trainer Dale Blosser.
Scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, at the Best Western Plus Parkersville Inn in Washougal, the first workshop starts at 9 a.m. and will run until noon, while the afternoon workshop will be held from 1:30 to 4:30.
According to a press release, Blosser believes that good hospitality begins with happy, self-empowered, well-trained staff. The local community, he said, can become a much more popular Northwest destination.
The goal of the seminar, organized by the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce, is to improve the hospitality skills of front-line staffers, as well as managers and supervisors.
“Great service and true hospitality create great memories,” Blosser said. “Great memories mean return business. Our community certainly wants to encourage visitors to return and return often. This means all of us need to re-energize our service skills. We want all visitors to say, ‘Wow, what a great place. Let’s come back soon!'”
