Local residents and companies are joining forces to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
The 24-hour Relay for Life of East Clark County will begin Saturday, at 10 a.m., in Fishback Stadium, at Washougal High School, 1201 39th St. The theme will be “Mardi Gras: Carnival for a Cure.”
The opening ceremonies will include a lap for cancer survivors. A silent auction will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The activity tent will include a dance class by Vancouver Elite Gymnastics Academy at noon, Lowe’s Build and Grow children’s projects at 2:30 p.m., kids relay at 5:30 p.m., and arts and crafts at 7:30 p.m.
The public is invited to participate throughout the event. Admission is free.
The Mr. Relay competition, at 3:30 p.m., will feature men dressed as women, attempting to generate the most donations for the ACS.
