Three people, including a 7-year-old boy, were killed in a head-on collision on state Route 14 in Skamania County Saturday.
According to the Washington State Patrol, just after 8 p.m., a blue 1997 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by Heath T. Martin, 24, of North Bonneville, was traveling east near milepost 33 when it crossed the center line and crashed into a westbound white 2005 Toyota Sienna van carrying five people.
The incident occurred three miles west of North Bonneville, in front of a Skamania County Fire District 5 station.
Heath, the sole passenger in the pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Inside the Toyota Sienna, driver Anatoliy I. Goy, 47, and a 7-year-old boy, died at the scene. Mariya P. Goy, 49, and an 11-year-old boy were critically injured and transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. A 9-year-old boy was transported by ambulance to a landing zone where he was picked up by Life Flight and taken to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland to be treated for his injuries.
