Your Party & Event Center opens in Camas

Chairs, tables and dance floors are among the items that can be rented from Your Party & Event Center, in Camas.

The business, which was opened Dec. 7 by the owners of Excavator Rental Services Jerry and Mary Sauer, also has table settings and decor, serving dishware, linens, lighting and casino games.

“We plan to not only offer the items needed for an event, but also offer assistance with the planning of events and partnerships with other services related to events — caterers, venues, etcetera,” Mary said.

Delivery and pick-up services are also available.

Bridal accessories, such as aisle runners and wedding bubbles are available to purchase. Invitations, in English and Spanish, can be ordered.

In May, the Sauers, of Camas, purchased Your Rental Center, in Hood River, Oregon, from Chuck and Irene Johnisee. The Johnisees retired after owning and operating the rental business for 38 years.

ERS added a heavy equipment fleet to the Hood River location.

“We have had many customers, businesses and friends suggest we expand our Hood River operation to include a location in the southwest Washington area,” Mary said. “We believe Camas is a great place to offer this. We are very excited to expand our businesses in the Camas/Washougal area.”

The Hood River location, at 1113 Tucker Road, has party supplies for weddings, showers, office events and business receptions, as well as tools and equipment for home improvement projects and repairs. Mary said the staffs from Hood River and Camas will work together to handle events.

Jodi Dakin is manager of the new store in Camas, located in the former Camas Auto Parts Store, 3132 N.E. Third Ave. The Sauers are leasing the building from Sonderen Enterprises LLC.

Employees from ERS and the Hood River location are assisting Dakin, as needed. Mary said there are plans to hire at least one more full-time person, as well as several part-time and seasonal employees to work at the Camas site.

Your Party & Event Center is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The staff is also available by appointment. For more information, call 844-7044 or email jodi@erswest.biz.
