The Camas United Methodist Church congregation would like to invite the community to enjoy an evening of “Messy Church” programming.
It will include a complimentary, casual dinner Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 5:30 p.m., in the church’s fellowship hall, 706 N.E. 14th Ave., followed by a variety of activities for all ages.
CUMC Pastor Richenda Fairhurst said the first local Messy Church night, Sept. 30, was an in-house practice.
It included a taco dinner and activities such as cardboard barn building, relay races, Legos, painting, gluing, taping, drawing and a word-in-action celebration from Fairhurst.
“It is an international movement, and I believe we are the first church in Washington to do it,” she said regarding Messy Church, which is popular in England and Scotland.
