The company that provided the camera and mapping technology for Google Street View plans to move its worldwide sales and marketing office and U.S. headquarters to Washougal.
Pen Clark, the marketing director of Immersive Media Company, said six employees will relocate from Vancouver to Washougal Town Square, 1700 Main St., Ste. 222, in November.
There are plans to add four employees before the end of the year, to also work in the areas of engineering and research and development operations, in the 2,340 square foot suite.
Washougal Sport & Spine Physical Therapy moved from Suite 222 to 136, in March.
Immersive Media introduced a 360 degree full digital camera system in 2004, as well as a viewer for 360 degree content that worked online. The company has also hosted streaming live concerts utilizing its imLive system and created viewers for iOS and Android.
Other new technology has included a wireless 4G 360 degree camera system, to be deployed by helicopter.
