Richard A. Holmes, of Camas, died May 17, 2014. He was 80.

Christen ‘Chris’ Hsiao-Ching Yang

Christen “Chris” Hsiao-Ching Yang died peacefully May 17, 2014. He was 90.

A celebration of Chris’ life will be held Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m., St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 1206 N.E. Birch St., Camas. Viewing will be held Friday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Straub’s Funeral Home, 325 N.E. Third Ave. Camas. Private interment will be held at the Camas Cemetery. Straub’s Funeral Home and Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Fredrick C. Higdon

Fredrick C. Higdon died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, May 15, 2014, after a courageous battle with heart disease. He was 80.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, June 8, at Lacamas Lake Lodge & Conference Center, 227 N.E. Lake Road, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. A private burial will be at the Sifton Cemetery in Orchards. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Larry D. Brubaker

Larry D. Brubaker died May 6, 2014, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, in Vancouver. He was 69.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 23, at 1 p.m., at First Friends Church in Vancouver. His ashes will be scattered by his family, following ceremony, according to his wishes.

Osa Loeta (King) Kratz

Osa Loeta (King) Kratz died May 6, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents; firstborn infant son, Eugene; husband, Don; sister, Freida Fleck; brother, Dwight King; granddaughter, Victoria Kratz; and son, Dan.

An celebration of life was held May 18 in Camas. A graveside service will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho, at a later date.

Genevieve Belz Lindgren

Genevieve Belz Lindgren died May 11, 2014. She was 90.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 24, at 2 p.m., at Vancouver First Friends Church, 2710 N.E. 65th Ave. Burial will be at the Camas Cemetery.

Elaine A. Young

Elaine Ann Young died peacefully May 13, 2014, at her home in Washougal. She was 80.
