Columbia River Realty opens office in Washougal Town Square

A new real estate company has located in downtown Washougal.

Columbia River Realty opened an office this month, in Washougal Town Square.

“We like the atmosphere and the location, primarily,” said Charline Wright, principal broker and owner of the realty company. “Washougal Town Square has been very welcoming to us.”

That includes Adam Taylor, a leasing manager for Lone Wolf Development; Chris Gering, administrative manager of Lone Wolf Investments; and Gretchen Christensen, a property manager for PREM Group.

“Camas and Washougal are situated for growth,” Wright said. “The timing was right to open an office.”

Wright, a Washougal resident since 1979, was previously a branch manager at Equity NW Properties, in Camas.

There are seven agents at Columbia River Realty, “with room to grow,” according to Wright.

“We would like to get to 15,” she said.

The brokers/independent contractors include Angie Tauialo, Paul Shapard, John Correa, Frank Olson, Charline Wright and Tim Plagman.

They list and sell commercial and residential properties, as well as lots, raw land acreage and new construction.

“Downtown Washougal has a lot of new businesses,” Wright said. “It would be nice to see more retail here.”

At the Columbia River Realty office, paintings by artist Elida Field, of Camas, have been installed in the reception area. The artwork is available to purchase.

A conference room is available for classes and meetings with clients.

“Our goal is consumer education, so they can make good decisions about the real estate market,” Wright said.

Gina Shapard, an art teacher at Camas High School and wife of Paul, created the company’s logo.

Columbia River Realty is located at 1700 Main St., Ste. 218.

An open house will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, from noon to 6 p.m., with a ribbon cutting set for 4:30 p.m.
