Washougal Sport & Spine Physical Therapy has opened a second location at LaCamas Swim & Sport.
The expansion to Camas provides exercise and cardiovascular equipment and a private treatment area for modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation and manual therapy techniques.
Treatment is provided for conditions such as muscle and joint injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, work injuries, auto accidents and spinal pain. In addition to standard physical therapy treatments, aquatic therapy in the pool is available.
Steve McCarthy, of Camas, opened Washougal Sport & Spine four years ago in the Washougal Town Square, 1700 Main St., Ste. 222. That office and the second location are now owned by McCarthy and licensed physical therapist Kimberly Williams, of Camas.
McCarthy, a 1996 Camas High School graduate, majored in exercise and sport science at Western Washington University. After earning a bachelor’s degree at WWU in 2000, McCarthy received a master’s degree in science/physical therapy from the University of Montana in 2002.
In addition to being an orthopedic certified specialist, he has completed a three-year fellowship program at the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, in Portland, Ore.
