The body of a dead adult woman was found in the Little Washougal River today.
According to a press release, at about 10:49 a.m. the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and East County Fire Rescue were called to the 200 block of Northeast Blair Road. Upon arrival it was confirmed that a deceased body was in the middle of the river. The Clark County Technical Rescue Team removed the body from the water.
According to authorities, a tentative identification has been made but information about the woman’s identity will not be released until it is confirmed and family members are notified.
The cause or circumstance of death is under investigation by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
