A Camas resident was injured after he was assaulted by a man with a knife in the parking lot of the Walgreens store in Camas on Sunday.
According to a Camas Police Department news release, Mario M. Pena, 53, of Cascade Locks, Ore., was arrested on charges of second degree assault. Pena is accused of cutting a 29-year-old acquaintance in the parking lot at the 3300 block of Northeast Third Avenue.
The victim called 911 at approximately 12:50 p.m. to report that a Hispanic male associated with a black Jeep had lacerated his left forearm with a knife. When police arrived, the suspect had already left the scene in the black Jeep. A short time later, the vehicle was located by Washougal police on state Route 14 within Washougal city limits. CPD Sgt.
