The New Seasons Market in east Vancouver will be open in time to shop for Thanksgiving dinner.
The grocery store that will anchor the Fisher’s Landing Marketplace, at 164th and McGillivray Blvd., is expected to open Wednesday, Nov. 9. Grand opening festivities are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
This summer, construction crews have been busy transforming the 42,000-square-foot former Albertson’s space into the first New Seasons Market in the state.
“This is a special milestone for our company,” said New Seasons president and chief executive officer Lisa Sedlar. “Washington has always been a big part of our home-grown sourcing practices, and Clark County residents have helped our company succeed since the beginning. We’re thrilled to join a community that’s so connected to who we are.”
The store’s shelves will be stocked with thousands of products from the Pacific Northwest, including items grown, handcrafted or produced in southwest Washington by 24 brand new suppliers who were discovered at a vendor fair during the summer in Vancouver.
