Bonded by all of the football games in their backyard, and in several towns and cities across the state. Bound by an incredible 2010 that saw the Papermakers kickoff the season in style at the home of the Seattle Seahawks, capture a league championship and win the first state playoff football game in school history.
It seemed “Senior Year” could not get any better for these two, but it did Wednesday. Coe signed a letter of intent to play football for Montana State University and Owen signed the dotted line to play football for the University of Montana. Camas football head coach Jon Eagle said Coe and Owen are the first two Papermakers from the same class to sign with Divison I colleges.
Three other Camas athletes also made their college choices. Melissa Williams takes her love of basketball to Eastern Washington University, Drew White will be firing soccer balls for the University of Washington and Kurt Yinger will be pitching baseballs for the University of California, Santa Barbara (UC Santa Barbara).
