Phone and information technology services at the Camas-Washougal Post-Record have been restored following an electrical fire in one of the downtown Vancouver buildings of its parent company, The Columbian, early Tuesday morning.
At the Post-Record, all services were back up and running by 11:30 a.m.
Delivery of the Post-Record’s Aug. 16 edition is not expected to be impacted significantly.
The Columbian reported on its website that the fire occurred sometime after 3 a.m. Tuesday in a switch room and took out power for The Columbian’s phone and Internet system, servers and one press room. It’s unclear what kind of damage the outage caused to the servers, according to Columbian Chief Financial Officer Doug Ness.
