Smead’s Pub is open for regular business, following an early morning armed robbery Thursday.
The robber, described as a white male with gray hair, thin build and approximately 6 feet tall, remains at large. He was wearing a wig, a gray sweatshirt over a light blue flannel shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
The robbery occurred at 12:22 a.m., when the suspect entered the tavern in Washougal and had contact with an employee behind the bar. The suspect showed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. He left Smead’s with an unspecified amount of cash, according to Washougal Police.
Officers set up a perimeter, and a K9 track took place, but officers were not able to locate the suspect.
