A Camas man has been reported missing after leaving for a camping trip on Friday, Oct. 8.
According to a press release from the Camas Police Department, Bennett Huffman, 47, told family and friends that he was going camping in the Christmas Valley area of southeast Oregon, and would return on Monday afternoon. As of Wednesday morning, however, Huffman has not returned home and has not contacted any family members or friends regarding his location.
Huffman is a white male who is 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 165 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
He is reported to be driving his very distinct looking vehicle. It is a multi-colored 1989 Honda Civic two-door hatchback that is decorated on the outside with multiple bumper stickers and plastic figures. The license plate number is 171VAA.
Anyone who has seen Huffman or has any information regarding his whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
