Camas golfers swing into action

When the Papermakers’ top golfer, senior Emma Cox, first joined the Camas golf team as a freshman, the team placed second in the 4A state tournament — a feat the team, led by head coach Bob Foster, has accomplished every year since.

Camas equestrians make state

Getting on a 1,200-pound animal takes courage and skill, and the 13 girls who make up the Camas High School equestrian team have plenty of both.

Historically speaking, Washougal High School’s boys soccer team has not had the success that the Panthers’ other spring sports programs like track and field and baseball have enjoyed. However, Washougal’s new coach vows to bring a new level of success to the program.

Little League fields get scoreboards

George Schmid Memorial Park in Washougal has been home to East County Little League since it was built in 2006, but in 13 years fans watching their kids have had no way of keeping track of game scores unless they kept statistics themselves.
