Camas looks to voters to renew EMS levy

The city of Camas has a proposition on the Feb. 13 special election ballot asking voters to renew the city’s emergency medical services (EMS) levy, which expires at the end of this year.

When Nick Calais and Tami Weidert, a Camas area couple, first attended Camas’ First Friday event in 2014 they instantly felt welcomed to the community.

Camas gymnasts on road to glory

The Camas High School gymnastics team is earning the scores they need to start paving their route to the 4A state team competition this year, and they’re having as much fun as they can while doing it.

Gracie Gundlach and Sitara Shankar are eighth grade students at Liberty Middle School who are working together to create an orchestra program in Camas. The two became best friends by participating in the Rose City Youth Orchestra in Portland and would like to bring their connection to orchestra to their school.
