Jemtegaard students take on ‘A Christmas Carol’

COVID-19 may have canceled most in-person plays and musicals in Camas and Washougal this year, but a group of Washougal middle schoolers have not let that stop them from bringing the arts to the community this holiday season.

Holiday festivities in Camas, Washougal take on new flavor during COVID-19

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has canceled many traditions in Camas and Washougal this year, including high school graduations in June, the annual Camas Days celebration in July, the Washougal Arts Festival in August, sporting events throughout the fall and even big family gatherings this Thanksgiving.

Lacamas Creek Watershed Committee approved

The Camas City Council this week affirmed its commitment to improving the water quality within the Lacamas Creek Watershed, which feeds the city’s Lacamas, Round and Fallen Leaf lakes.

Camas could go it alone for fire services

Two years after Camas City Council members discussed “unwinding” the interlocal agreement that merged the two cities’ fire departments in 2013, the call to re-evaluate the cities’ partnership and possibly dissolve the agreement is back on the table.
