Water testing begins at Camas lakes

The city of Camas’ work to improve the health of its popular Lacamas, Round and Fallen Leaf lakes moved forward this week as consultants kicked off a water-sampling project that will collect and test water from all three lakes over the next 12 months.

Camas OKs city administrator salary bump

The Camas City Council this week unanimously approved a salary bump for the city’s next city administrator, increasing the future administrator’s annual salary range from $165,000 to $198,000 to $173,000 to $205,000.

Camas business park advances

The Camas Planning Commission has approved preliminary plans for a nearly 943,000-square-foot industrial business park along Northwest Lake Road. The proposal, which would construct two warehouse buildings and one manufacturing building at 4707 (and 4723) N.W. Lake Road, across from the WaferTech campus, will now head to the Camas City Council for final approval.

Camas School Board OKs $210M, 6-year facilities plan

The Camas School Board this week approved a six-year capital facilities plan that includes an estimated $210 million worth of school facilities projects the district could need to serve a growing student population over the next six years.
