Campaign season kicked off in Camas this week, with a town hall hosted by Vancouver businessman and attorney David McDevitt, one of three Democratic candidates hoping to unseat incumbent Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler in the 3rd Congressional District of Washington.

Skaters say aging, city park due for an upgrade

It’s one of those suddenly warm and sunny April afternoons that bring people out from hiding, and Grahm Harter, of Washougal, is no exception. The 21-year-old is basking in the sunshine on this particular Monday, watching skaters and bikers zip past him at the Camas-Washougal Riverside Skate Park.

Camas council feels heat

Dozens of Camas-Washougal firefighters, many sporting their union’s red and black International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) t-shirt, packed into a Camas City Council meeting Monday night to appeal directly to city leaders for help with a fire department they say is understaffed, underfunded and putting first responders — and Camas-Washougal residents — in danger.
