Get ready for roundabouts

Traffic roundabouts are a hot topic in Washougal and Camas right now, with one city preparing for summertime construction on two roundabouts along Highway 14, and the other having just OK’d a future roundabout at a busy intersection near Lacamas and Round lakes.

Washougal artists prepare for Mother’s Day weekend

In the same way that farmers markets and wineries offer the public a chance to meet the people who grow, raise and ferment the vegetables, meats and wine placed on dining room tables, studio artist tours offer a chance to meet the artists who paint, sculpt, fuse, hammer and weave beloved pieces of artwork.

‘Take Your Child to Work’ day expands young minds

For many working parents, the annual “Take Your Child to Work” day is a simple enough affair. Mom’s a police officer? Come ride in the patrol car and hang out at the station. Dad’s a nurse? Watch him gauge a patient’s blood pressure and learn how to use a stethoscope.
