Washougal High School senior Danielle Devall and junior Tristan Fackler will perform the lead roles in the drama department's production of "The 39 Steps." Fackler is the hero Richard Hannay, while Devall portrays Pamela, a love interest. The show opens Friday.

’39 Steps’ is a ‘big, fun, crazy romp’

Student actors who will be performing in the upcoming Washougal High School production of "The 39 Steps," have been working hard in rehearsals since January. They are eager for the curtains to be drawn on opening night.

Magnus Homestead, a goldsmith at Runyan's Jewelers in Camas, will retire this week after working for the local jeweler for nearly 30 years. An open house in his honor will be held Saturday, March 14, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Following his heart

After nearly 30 years spent creating and repairing pieces of jewelry that people treasure, goldsmith Magnus Homestead is set to retire.
