Six people were injured when a minivan pulled in front of a C-Tran bus on Evergreen Highway in Washougal on Tuesday. Investigators believe the driver of the minivan was attempting to make a u-turn.

Six people injured in collision involving a C-Tran bus

Six people were injured Tuesday when a C-Tran bus collided with a minivan in Washougal. According to the Clark County Sheriff's Office, just after noontime, the bus was traveling east at the 35600 block of Evergreen Highway. The minivan, apparently making a u-turn, pulled out in front of the full size transit bus.

Officials urge caution with fireworks

The sale of fireworks in Camas and Washougal begins this week, and with recent prolonged dry weather and record-breaking temperatures, local residents and city officials are expressing concerns about the potential increased risk for fires.

Three people die in SR-14 collision in Skamania County

Three people, including a 7-year-old boy, were killed in a head-on collision on state Route 14 in Skamania County Saturday night. According to the Washington State Patrol, just after 8 p.m., a blue 1997 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by Heath T. Martin, 24, of North Bonneville, was traveling east near milepost 33 when it crossed the centerline and crashed into a westbound 2005 Toyota Sienna mini van carrying five people. The incident occurred three miles west of North Bonneville, in front of a Skamania County Fire District 5 station.
