Nine long months of frustration is over in Camas. Ever since Chiawana beat the Papermakers 27-26 on a last second touchdown and an extra-point kick in the state championship game, the countdown to this season has been on.

Paddleboarders from all walks of life arrived in Washougal for the first SUP Salmon Classic Sunday, at Capt. William Clark Park. The 8-mile long course challenge featured more than 30 competitors from all around the world. The 4-mile short course and the 2-mile novice race each had 15 participants.
