Camas High School runners Emily Wilson, Alissa Pudlitzke, Emma Jenkins and Said Guermali gave Team Washington a dose of mill town power during its BorderClash with Oregon Sunday, on the Nike World Headquarters, in Beaverton, Ore.
The sound of crashing bowling pins is catching on at Camas High School.
The Camas High School volleyball team finished a rung higher on the state championship ladder than it did a season ago.
The view from the start line for these Camas runners was like nothing they had seen before.
A season should not be defined by its ending, but by its journey.
After a difficult loss to Emerald Ridge in the state quarterfinals, the Camas High School volleyball team earned a better finish than last season when it defeated Tahoma for fifth place. "The seniors will remember the feeling of this last match, and how the entire team came together for a great finish," said senior outside hitter Lauren Harris. "It was the perfect way to wrap up the season," added senior middle blocker Sophi Jacobson. "We played with passion and with heart. It doesn't get much better than that."
In order to play football for the next four weeks, these brothers from Camas are going to have to make every single day count. On the field, and in the classroom, weight room and film room. No stone can be left unturned.
Emma Jenkins, Alissa Pudlitzke and Emily Wilson finished seconds apart. Maddie Woodson, Kaylee Merritt and Brooke Roy did the same.
Courtney Owens, Hannah Lintala, Karina Miller, Meredith Collins, Lydia Lyall, Mackenzie Kitchen and Abby Lees accomplished their goal Saturday.
