County denies mining company’s road proposal near ‘Washougal Pit’

The Clark County Council has unanimously approved a recommendation to deny a proposal from a Ridgefield-based mining company to redesignate a private residential road in rural Washougal as a public thoroughfare, delivering another blow to the company’s long-standing hopes of resuming mining activity in the area.

Second annual Washougal Songcraft Festival returning bigger than before

The 2024 Washougal Songcraft Festival (WSF) will feature more concerts, more performers and more venues than it did in 2023, its inaugural year. Some of that growth is by design and some of it is happening as the result of some unexpected news delivered by the owner of one of the 2023 festival’s host venues.

Port plans pedestrian pathway

The Port of Camas-Washougal is connecting two of its primary riverside attractions with a short-but-safe walking path.

New Washougal event promises ‘weirdest, strangest car show’

When people ask AJ Bogue about the types of vehicles that he’s hoping to show off at the upcoming car show that he’s organizing, he usually tells them something like this: “If you can drive it to 54-40 Brewing Company and pay the $25 entry fee, it’s in.”
