Port reverses controversial permit decision

In response to pleas from several marina users, Port of Camas-Washougal commissioners have voted to reinstate a popular permit program that offers an annual permit for people who regularly use the launch ramp at the Parker’s Landing Marina in Washougal.

Anti-maskers shut down Washougal School Board meeting

The Washougal School Board said it postponed a public meeting after multiple people in the audience refused to follow a state mandate requiring face coverings inside public school board meetings to help curb the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Unhappy with the Port of Camas-Washougal’s recent decision to eliminate annual launch ramp permits, a group of outspoken Parker’s Landing Marina users said this week they are optimistic they can change the Port commissioners’ minds.
