Approximately 160 people attended a free dinner on Christmas Day 2016, in the Washougal Community Center. Washougal Mayor-elect Molly Coston presented a clock and a proclamation to Mayor Sean Guard during his final City Council meeting Monday, Dec. 11. Guard plans to move to Clark County, outside the city limits of Vancouver, in January. Coston will be sworn in as Washougal mayor at 4 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 28, in the council chambers at City Hall, 1701 "C" St.

$22M project may fix most levee woes
