Historic camp goes green

With its former coat of pine needle-colored paint, Kiwanis Camp Wa-Ri-Ki used to be green on the outside. Now, a new energy efficiency program is helping the historic camp “go green” on the inside.

Healing Washougal’s watershed

An effort to improve the quality of the lower Washougal River and its salmon habitats could pay some homeowners to plant native vegetation and create “rain gardens” along the river’s edge.
