Josh Bischoff and Aubrey Kraft made their final throws in the Washougal rings count Friday, at Fishback Stadium.
Bischoff won the 2A Greater St. Helens League sub-district discus title with a personal best toss of 161 feet, 5 inches. He also threw the shot put 47 feet to finish in third place. Bischoff hasn’t thrown a disc that far since finishing in second place at state last season with a 158-2.
“I was really excited to throw 160 and a little bummed to finish two feet short of the school record, but I feel I can easily get those two feet,” Bischoff said. “I had two throws above my PR. That’s really nice to have. I’m peaking at the right time.”
Kraft clinched second place in the discus with a season-best throw of 142-6. He then won the shot put with a toss of 51-7.5.
“I was consistent,” Kraft said. “I hit 51 six times. Just got to work on getting faster so I can hit that 54.”
