The Camas girls are breaking records with each round of golf.
On March 17, the top four players combined to shoot 160 and beat the Prairie Falcons by 61 strokes at Camas Meadows.
The team record for nine holes lasted seven days, and then Camas scored a 153 to defeat the Mountain View Thunder by 40 strokes at Fairway Village.
Five days later, Camas finished with a new record low round of 148 to best Union by 22 strokes. Elise Filuk shot an even par score of 35 at Camas Meadows. Hailey Oster added a 36, Emma Cox earned a 37 and Connie Wang had a 40.
“I am over the moon happy,” Filuk said. “Coming in with a 35, 36, 37 and a 40 is amazing. We’ve been putting in a lot of work to get those scores.”
The lead group featured Filuk and Wang, of Camas, and Riley Whitlock and Taylor Hartley, of Union. Filuk will continue her golfing and educational journey at Regis College, in Weston, Massachusetts. Whitlock is on her way to St. Martin’s University, in Lacey. Hartley plans to play golf at Portland State University.
