A Camas resident has been hired as the new director of development at the The Fort Vancouver National Trust.

Angela Azure has extensive fundraising experience, serving seven years in two human service agencies in Helena, Montana. She worked with the board of directors at Helena Food Share and Florence Crittenton Home, creating fundraising and program budgets, managing donor relations, marketing, and appeal campaigns, grant writing and planning fundraisers.

“We are tremendously pleased to have Angela join the trust staff,” said Trust President/CEO Mike True. “She not only has extensive development experience, she is passionate about history and preservation and will be a great addition to the trust team.”

In her role as the director of development, Azure will be responsible for the organization’s fundraising and donor stewardship activities. She will take a lead role in the trust’s annual giving program, fund development campaigns and donor relations events and activities.

“Fort Vancouver National Trust is doing incredible work,” Azure said. “I am thrilled to be part of a talented team. I am strongly committed, happy to raise funds, and delighted to promote the trust’s mission. This a beautiful place that is home to some very profound regional history. Right now, I am just in awe.”

Established in 1998, Fort Vancouver National Trust is a nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire civic pride and economic vitality through education, preservation, and celebration of the community’s history.
