Clark College is partnering with the Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council and local industries for Manufacturing Week.
The goal of the event is to raise awareness of the ongoing need for skilled manufacturing workers.
Manufacturing Week, sponsored nationally by a variety of companies, is designed to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.
The SWWDC’s Business-After-School participants, ages 16 to 24, are invited to a two-hour event Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m., at Linear Technology, 4200 N.W. Pacific Rim Blvd., Camas.
The event will include a company tour, a hands-on activity and discussion regarding the types of jobs available, the education and training required, salary ranges and upcoming job opportunities.
