Soccer teams deliver victories

The Camas High School girls soccer team delivered seven goals in back-to-back games on the road against Enumclaw and Columbia River.

Alyssa Tomasini, Maddie Kemp and Sabine Postma collected two goals each to help the Papermakers defeat Enumclaw 7-1 Saturday. Hanna Taie netted a free kick for the seventh goal.

Amanda Shi and Perri Belzer contributed to Tomasini’s goals. Morgan Winston and Rylee MacDonald chipped in on Kemp’s goals. Taie and Sarah Davidson assisted on Postma’s goals.

Camas beat Columbia River 7-1 Thursday, at Kiggins Bowl. Davidson racked up four goals and an assist. Lindsey Latimer added two goals and Kemp knocked in one.

Bella Swanson and Tomasini both had two assists on Davidson’s goals. Davidson and Aliya Ponder chipped in on Latmier’s goals. Ellie Echeverio contributed to Kemp’s goal.

The Papermakers clipped Prairie 1-0 Sept. 8, at Doc Harris Stadium. Latimer scored the only goal in the first half. Camas keeper Karsyn Quade helped preserve the shutout with three saves.

Camas (4-0) hosts Heritage today and Evergreen Thursday, at Doc Harris Stadium. Both games begin at 7 p.m.

Panthers win first two games at home

Katie Desimone and Jessie Larson knocked in goals during the second half to lead the Washougal girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory against Fort Vancouver Saturday. Kat Moua assisted on Larson’s goal.

Washougal also defeated La Center 4-1 Sept. 8, at Fishback Stadium. Meghan Jackson scored the first goal on an assist by Katie Boon. Boon netted the second goal on a pass from Chole Brimhall. Sierra Coloma put the final two goals in on assists by Sydney Mederos and Boon.

The Panthers head to R.A. Long tonight and host Woodland Thursday, at 7 p.m. Washougal also hosts W.F. West Saturday, at 6 p.m.
