News Police arrested a teenager today in connection with the bomb threat made earlier this week at Washougal High School.
The incident occurred Tuesday at approximately 10 a.m., when Principal Aaron Hansen alerted Washougal Police School Resource Officer Ryan Castro that a hand written note was discovered in a restroom stall.
The school, located at 1201 39th St., was evacuated and then searched by staff and Washougal police officers. No bomb was found, so students were released back to class just after 11 a.m.
According to the Washougal Police Department, the juvenile male suspect was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of threats to bomb or injure property, a Class B felony.
The investigation is ongoing. Additional arrests are possible.
According to police, there is no indication that an actual bomb existed.
