Job fair to be held May 21 in Vancouver

Job seekers are invited to attend an event that will feature a variety of potential employers.

A job fair is set for Thursday May 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Partners in Careers, 3210 N.E. 52nd St., Vancouver.

Companies with current openings will be on site to discuss positions and accept applications. Some interviews will be conducted.

Participating businesses are expected to include Ajinomoto, Bushwackers, Charter Communications, Comcast, Commercial Airline Painting Services, C-Tran, Express Employment Services, Lowe’s, McDonald’s, Riverview Community Bank, UPS and Xerox.

Job Fair participants will have access to PIC’s computer lab, to apply online for companies at the free event.

He can also schedule help with resumes. Limited resume assistance will be available the day of the Job Fair.

Partners in Careers supports youth and veterans who seek employment. In addition to resume development, services include job training and coaching, and workshops and networking.
