Papermakers and Titans are headed for a collision on the diamond Wednesday, at Camas High School. First pitches are scheduled for 4 p.m.
Mountain View rallied from a 5-0 deficit to defeat the Camas baseball team 7-6 in eight innings Monday, in Camas.
Jared Bentley hit a scalding ground ball up the middle that the Mountain View second baseman smothered on a dive. He got the force out at second base, but Bentley beat the throw to first to break up a game-ending double play. The ball got away from the first baseman, and that allowed Sam Christopher to score the tying run for Camas on a slide into home plate.
Mountain View regained the lead in the eighth inning on an error, walk and base hit up the middle. Camas couldn’t counter in the bottom half.
The Papermakers are 3-3 in league as they begin their second rotation starting with Union Wednesday.
