Four people will be interviewed on Monday, Jan. 26, for the Camas City Council position that will be vacant following the retirement of Linda Dietzman.
According to City Administrator Pete Capell, the applicants for the Ward 2 position are Bonita Carter, Randy Curtis, Patricia Jensen and Matthew McBride.
A special meeting to conduct the interviews will begin at 4:30 p.m., at City Hall, 616 N.E. Fourth Ave.
Following deliberation, Council is expected to appoint an individual to serve a portion of the remaining 2.75 years of the term, from Feb. 1, 2015, through Dec. 7, 2015.
The person to serve the rest of the term, from Dec. 7, 2015, to Dec. 31, 2017, will be determined in the Nov. 3, 2015, general election.
