A well-known local musician will perform at the Washburn Performing Arts Center in Washougal Saturday, for the last time.
Fingerstyle guitarist John Standefer, a former Camas-Washougal area resident, will take the stage with Brooks Robertson at 7 p.m.
According to Standefer, he has decided not to perform at the Washburn PAC again due to increasing facility rental costs, in addition to the fact that its namesake — longtime friend Washougal High School Associate Principal Gordon Washburn — will be retiring this year.
“We won’t have our inside guy to run sound and help us out,” he said.
Standefer and Robertson, however, plan to make this last performance one to remember.
The duo will play a wide variety of music — from hymns and Chet Atkins classics to a Stevie Wonder tune and folk music.
