No football team has been able to stop Woodland so far.
Washougal became the fifth victim Friday, at Fishback Stadium.
The Beavers built a 48-0 advantage before Brandon Casteel ran in a touchdown for the Panthers in the fourth quarter. Woodland won the game 48-7.
Despite the humbling losses in the last two weeks, Washougal head coach Dave Hajek said the Panthers are working harder than ever to improve all faucets of their game in hopes of having success down the road.
“It hurts, but these kids are gaining valuable experience and learning what it takes to compete at that level,” Hajek said.
Washougal (2-3) has another opportunity to prove itself against Hudson’s Bay (1-4) Friday, at Kiggins Bowl in Downtown Vancouver. Kickoff is at 5 p.m.
The Eagles have not won a game in league, while the Panthers are 1-2.
“A victory would be great, but we have to play well enough to deserve the victory,” Hajek said. “We also have to keep progressing so we are not only ready for this Friday, but for the weeks to come. We still have four games left.”
