Semifinalists named in 2015 National Merit program

Four students from Camas High School are among 16,000 semifinalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.

The students are Yuju Fang, Rachel Greene, Yun Teng and Maximillian Urbanek.

They qualified as semifinalists by taking the 2013 PSAT as juniors, and now represent less than one percent of all U.S. high school seniors.

To become a finalist, one must submit a detailed scholarship application, have outstanding academic record throughout high school, be recommended by a high school official, write an essay and earn SAT scores that confirm their earlier performance on the qualifying test.
