More than a decade in the making, "The Burma Cookbook" spans Myanmar's opulent tradition of empire: from the past century's best recipes to contemporary dishes of today. The result is a unique cookbook and travelogue, with illustrations and photographs.

Robert Carmack and Morrison Polkinghorne, authors of “The Burma Cookbook: Recipes from the Land of a Million Pagodas,” will present an hour-long illustrated history of Burma/Myanmar through its food on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 10:30 a.m., at the Camas Public Library.

Afterwards, they will be selling and autographing copies of the soon-to-be-released first edition of the book.
