Christmas concert set
The Washougal Schools Foundation will host a Christmas Holiday Family Concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the Washburn Auditorium at Washougal High School, 1201 39th St.
There will be several local vocalists participating in the event.
Tickets are $5 and available at the door. Children can attend for free.
All proceeds will benefit the WSF, to provide creative classroom grants for educators and scholarships for high school seniors.
Magana makes dean’s list
Michelle Magana, a senior at the University of Washington, was named to the dean’s list for summer 2013.
She is a 2010 Washougal High School graduate.
Skills Center Restaurant is open weekdays
The Clark County Skills Center restaurant, “A Touch of Class” is open for breakfast and lunch on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Breakfast is served from 8:45 to 10 a.m.; and lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The program is affiliated with the American Culinary Federation, and managed and operated by the students enrolled in the Skills Center Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts program.
