Two suspects have been arrested in connection with several acts of vandalism which took place during a 48-hour period last week.
Justin Cameron, 18, and a 15-year-old accomplice, both of Washougal, were arrested Friday night just after 10 p.m., when they threw a rock through the window of a home at the 3300 block of “L” Street. After questioning by Washougal police officers, they admitted to the other crimes.
The police say the vandalism spree included at least thirteen victims and an estimated $5,000 worth of damage. Multiple windows were broke and buildings and vehicles spray painted with profanities, vulgar statements and anarchist symbols.
The victims include private citizens, the Washougal School District buildings and the City of Washougal parks buildings and playground equipment.
“We do not know for certain how many victims there are as it was spread throughout central Washougal,” said Allen Cook, police commander. “If there are, we are hoping they will nofity us once they learn the suspects were arrested.”
