Waste Connections Inc. has celebrated the opening of its first compressed natural gas facility in Clark County.
It is located at the hauling facility at 9411 N.E. 94th Ave., Vancouver. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Sept. 12.
The facility will supply compressed natural gas to four new yard debris trucks. The station is equipped with four slow fill dispensers and can be expanded to 12.
Maintenance shop upgrades were also completed to service the new fleet of natural gas vehicles.
Scott Campbell, manager of Waste Connections, said the company has a nationwide CNG fueling infrastructure and maintenance program in progress with many locations already on line.
