Studio 2911 companies offer complementary services

Three friends and business associates have combined their efforts to showcase their event planning services.

Studio 2911 is located at 421 N.E. Cedar St., in downtown Camas.

It includes the offices of Wendy Sturm, owner of “We Plan It,” Kristina Kuntz, event coordinator with Niella’s Special Events, and Amy Brown, owner of Lacamas Flowers & Events.

Niella’s, owned by Kuntz and her husband Jonathon, is the parent company of Studio 2911.

Kuntz and Brown have worked on weddings together, as well as events for Logitech and organizations such as the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society and the Friends and Foundation of the Camas Library.

Kuntz’s financial planner referred her to Sturm in the spring of 2012.

“It is complementary for us to work together,” Kuntz said.

They are currently planning a 40th birthday celebration with a 1980s prom theme.

“You have the luxury of bouncing ideas off of all of us,” Sturm said. “There is a lot of collaboration. That’s one of the biggest benefits here.”

Kuntz, an event and marketing consultant, coordinated wedding shows this year at Camas Meadows Golf Club and the Heathman Lodge. She also provided linens, napkins and chair sashes. Sturm had fine china, silverware, wine glasses and champagne flutes for displays, and Brown provided flowers and other decor.

“It’s nice to build our businesses that way,” Brown said.

Sturm offers rental services of stemware, fine china, silverware and linens. She specializes in planning special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, bridal and baby showers, date nights and family outings.

Sturm can also stage tables in a home for special occasions.

She is currently planning a fun run, April 20, to benefit the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center.

“This is a power team,” Kuntz said.

“You can ask someone you can trust instead of finding information on Google,” Sturm said. “We run off referrals.”

Kuntz, a Camas High School graduate, said there is a camaraderie among downtown businesses.

There are plans to team up with charities to hold a fashion show and a masquerade ball at the Studio 2911 site, with the dates to be determined.

“We want to promote and support our neighboring businesses and give some life to this area,” Kuntz said.

The space, featuring a neutral palate, is available to rent for special occasions.

“It’s a very elegant place,” Kuntz said. “We can cater to any theme.”
